Tile Saw
A tile saw is a power saw consisting of a water-cooled and a diamond-coated blade to cut or break ceramic, porcelain, glass, and natural stone tiles to fit each tile square to a specific area on a floor. They do not have sharp “teeth” to rip and tear to cut through the tiles; instead, they grind through the tile.
A tile saw has a diamond blade that enables it to cut through extremely tough substances quickly, evenly, and safely. Some can also be used to cut marble and stone slabs.
You’ll need a tile saw if you are looking to work with larger tiles, which require more precise cuts, speed, and convenience. You’ll also need a tile saw if you’re going to re-do your bathtub tiles, kitchen backsplash, or even your dining room floor.
There are two fundamental types of tile saws: Wet Tile Saws and Handheld Tile Saws. The Wet Tile Saws’ blade uses water to cool it down and lubricate the tile and the blade. They’re primarily used in large projects and cuts almost any material. The handheld Tile saws don’t use water; instead, all you need to do is plug into a power source and quickly cut through thinner materials like countertops.
